The eight symbols of the DAO (Bagua) that appear on and around each stone represent the different forces of existence.
HEAVEN
WIND
FIRE
MOUNTAIN
LAKE
WATER
THUNDER
EARTH
Metastones with all eight different symbols showing are super rare and
 in total balance.
Some Stones have all eight symbols the same.
These are known 
as Force Stones.
These are very rare.
If a stone has two symbols that are the same it is less rare, three even less so etc.
A Metastones symbols can change postively or negatively over time depending on how they are used.
